Louise Bourgeois was born in Paris in 1911. She learned to weave and paint in the tapestry restoration workshop run by her mother. She spent part of her childhood taking care of her sick mother. The feeling of loss after his death inspired him in his work as an artist. She studied Art and stood out for her talent as a painter and engraver. Fernand Léger saw something special in her work and encouraged her to explore with three-dimensional objects. He moved to New York, where he began his artistic career that lasted more than sixty years. She is considered one of the most outstanding sculptors in the world.

The SMALL & BIG collection was initially conceived as a series dedicated to great women in history, but some time later male figures such as Jean-Michel Basquiat were also incorporated, because "the collection is about incredible people who believed in themselves and is a sample of diversity and the fact that we are all unique»
