Christopher Anderson began to photograph his family in a totally organic way. His images were simply the natural action of a partner trying to stop time and not miss a moment of their relationships. As a photographer, he had never thought of his personal photographs as "works" until photographer Tim Hetherington saw a photograph Anderson had taken of his wife Marion and said, "This is about the passage of time." Anderson began to see her personal images in a new light, and in time she would come to feel that these photographs were, in fact, her life's work. Anderson's new book, Marion, marks the final chapter in a trilogy of books chronicling their lives and loves in beautiful depth throughout their partnership. "It was never a kind of creative exercise. The photographs are expressions of love... a record of that expression. They are more than memories." -Christopher Anderson
