A family goes in search of a house in the country and falls in love with an old mansion that rises between tall grass and trees. It needs some reforms and between the carpenter, the bricklayer and the welder they leave it as good as new, but it also needs to be painted. The family agrees that it would be more fun to paint it themselves, but each one wants it in a different color and, as if that were not enough, in the hardware store they only have three colors: red, blue and yellow. But the father gets an idea: «Now you are going to see how many things happen when colors are mixed» and suddenly a whole palette of colors appears!
This vintage tale will delight little artists and engineers. The house of the four seasons is an illustrated album about colors, imagination and commitment. A classic by the great Roger Duvoisin , a Swiss-born American writer and illustrator widely recognized in the world of children's literature.
