Through the history of this toy that almost fell into oblivion, we witness some of the sweetest years of the childhood and youth of the Dalí and García Lorca.
Don Osito Marquina is a precious toy full of history, poetry, tenderness and magic. He was born in a German factory where he was until they took him to a shop in Paris. There the parents of Anna Maria and Salvador Dalí bought it and since then they have become inseparable playmates. One day Salvador invited his new friend, Federico García Lorca , to spend a few days in Ampurdán. It was then that Anna Maria and Lorca became great friends and began to write letters in which the poet never stopped asking about the family bear, whom they baptized Don Osito Marquina.
A beautiful illustrated album narrated in an epistolary way by Don Osito Marquina, who is a witness to the life of the Dalí brothers. Zuzanna Celej's illustrations, masterfully using the collage technique, turn this album into a work of art. Today, Don Osito Marquina can be visited at the Toy Museum in Figueras .
