This catalog takes a look at the more than fifty-year career of Bruce Davidson , one of the most outstanding photographers of the so-called humanist photography and member of the Magnum agency , through some of his most famous series, such as Brooklyn Gang, East 100th Street and Time of Change: Civil Rights Movement, as well as his latest works, Nature of Paris and Nature of Los Angeles.

His work is characterized by a personal vision of reality in which his art is manifested not so much in individual images, but in the effect of reiteration and juxtaposition of themes and characters. His work is thus the reflection of an ethical commitment to the harsh realities and the precarious and vulnerable environments in which the daily existence of the people photographed unfolds.

Authors: Charlotte Cotton, Carlos Gollonet Carnicero and Teresa Kroemer.
